🌿 Day Two: Pausing Before the Scroll
Good morning, sisters!
As we step into Day Two of our Redeeming Our Phone Time challenge, I want to invite you to reflect on something simple yet powerful: the pause.
How often do we reach for our phones without even thinking? A notification pings, boredom creeps in, or our hands just move out of habit. Before we know it, minutes—sometimes hours—slip away.
But what if we practiced holy pauses? What if, before we opened that app or scrolled that feed, we stopped for one deep breath and whispered, “Lord, I choose You first.”
📖 Scripture Focus
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” – Colossians 3:2
This verse reminds us that our minds have a setting—a direction they turn toward. Today is about training our hearts to look up before we look down at our screens.
✨ Reflection Prompt
- What emotion usually drives you to check your phone—boredom, loneliness, stress, curiosity?
- How could you turn that moment into an opportunity to pray or read a verse instead?
- What would change if you paused for God before pausing for your phone?
🙏 Prayer for Today
Lord, help me pause before the scroll. Redirect my heart toward You in those small moments when I’m tempted to reach for my phone. May I learn to crave Your presence more than I crave distraction. Amen.
📌 Tip: Try keeping a sticky note on your phone with Colossians 3:2 as a gentle reminder today. Let it be a holy pause every time you reach for your device.
